  1. This is interesting, although there is clearly a nursing shortage, I cannot seem to get hired. I have been in nursing since 1976, I was a LPN for many years and worked in many areas and became a RN 5 years ago. I was on my former job for 23 years and was promoted to top management after being a RN for 2 years. I held that position 2 full years and was let go. Now, I cannot find a job to save my life. I do not understand why an experienced nurse as myself cannot get hired. It is even more difficult to get an interview after submitting online applications, only to receive a no reply e-mail. I have been a dedicated nurse my entire adult life and this is for any seasoned nurse. Any suggestions?
