nursingstudentHere is a great nurse recruitment tip! The Department of Nursing at Armstrong Atlantic State University hosted Medical Explorer Post students for a special Exploring event focusing on nursing careers.

Thirty-two high school juniors and seniors representing seven local public high schools participated in a series of four different hands-on activities with various simulators, including the laparoscopic surgery simulator.

Explorers were able to practice basic skills on patient simulators that exhibit pulse, blood pressure and even talk.

The coordinator of recruitment and retention, provided college and career presentations.

Not only is this a great community service event, it is a great way to recruit nurses.
